Green Skill Development Programme – Solar Energy Learning Visit – Oct 2026

The visit brought 19 trainees and two accompanying officials from the Green Skill Development Programme to Auroville for a closer look at solar energy in practice. As part of their Solar Enterprises Energy Manager certificate course, the group explored Auroville’s Smart Mini Grid, visited solar panel installations and Battery Energy Storage Systems, and saw how renewable energy supports community needs at the Solar Kitchen. The experience connected classroom learning with the practical workings of solar energy generation, storage and use.
