This session will help you understand the inseparable link between what we eat and our physical and mental well- being. Through this session you will learn about facts related to raw food, how to prepare raw food and about superfoods. Additionally, it will help you understand the wisdom and abundance of local food too. It will include a tour of the farm, exploring various practices in the context of understanding the values of local foods, their medicinal & nutritional values and harvesting locally available leaves, roots, flowers, fruits, wild vines.
Research suggests that what we eat doesn’t only affect our physical body but has a significant impact on our mind and emotional health as well. These studies are pushing people to explore and experience healthier alternatives.
Local foods are easy to grow thus are found in abundance. They use less water, have high nutritional medicinal values, are non-exclusive and have no ecological cost. Eating local foods is the most simple and direct action we can take to undermine the vast exploitation and pollution caused by industrialised agriculture.
